Bwana Tembo is located next to Murchison Falls on the northern side, 10km from the park’s northern gate and a few kilometers from the White Nile. The lodge was opened in February 2012 and is owned by an Italian family that settled in Uganda during the years of 1986. It is managed by Davide and Francesco. The camp blends mid-range and budget accommodation, with a mouth-watering Italian cuisine. It is comprised of both cottages and safari tents. Accommodation types are self-contained with flashing toilets, hand basins and showers with hot and cold water. Each cottage or tent has its own veranda and Bwana Tembo is entirely Eco-friendly, with solar power systems and Bwana Tembo is visited by animals which mainly come during the night hours. Bwana Tembo has 6 cottages and these can be prepared as doubles, twins or single occupancy. A third bed can also be provided if clients are 3 in number making it a triple Each facility contains a wardrobe and a small safe. When at Bwana Tembo one can experience the evening sunset.
