Wabs safaris was founded by the Bamasaba (Gishu) with a vision that started way back in 2015 with love and passion to travel, learning the history of Uganda right before Independence in 1962.  With roots from Mbale home to Mount Elgon with the largest caldera and it is also believed to have been home the first ancestors of the Bagishu, Mudu and sera come out of a hole in mountain Elgon.The mountain is also a place where we the bamasaba are traditionally circumcised from in a translon from child hood to adult hood.With much love for the wildlife, culture, land scape, hills like Nagudi which are not known by the rest of the world further inspired the founding of Wabs safaris. Having indulged more in tourism we developed love to read more about the country and how to serve visitors that come to the pearl of Africa. Because of the memories of our great grand fathers who lived in mbale a village called Buwalasi and home of Mount Elgon, the name wabs emerged and later it was incorporated into a safari company.

The name Wabs started way back from our great grand Fathers who born and grew up in mbale in village called Buwalsi.
