Day 1 Drive from Kampala to Jinja (Source of the Nile) with a visit to Sezibwa Falls and Mabira forest Walk

Travel Time from Kampala to jinja is 1 to 2 hours on a clear day without traffic

We will start the tour early in the morning right on time, driving from Kampala at 7.00 am through the Kampala – Jinja highway with a stopover after a fifty minutes’ drive East of Kampala to Sezibwa Falls. It is a cultural heritage site with diverse traditional stories of Buganda Kingdom. The falls are unique and amazing, surrounded by plantation and ancient trees that were planted by the first kings of Buganda. With a number of birds if you’re a birder and some wildlife such as monkeys that may be sighted in the nearby forest. This activity takes 45 minutes to an hour exploring the area before heading to the next stop destination.

It will take us a drive of about fifteen to twenty minutes to reach Mabira Forest which is along the high wayfor an amazing explorable adventure. Mabira Forest is the largest natural forest in Central Uganda, from the center we will head for the forest walks to explore the jungle. There are a number of wildlife like the swinging monkeys, birds, mammals such as squirrels, and get to discover the ancient trees of the forest. From this forest walk, after one to two hours exploring Mabira forest, you will drive to Jinja town

Have lunch in Jinja, you will then drive to the Source of the Nile and embark on a one-hour boat ride/ cruise from the shores to the water source where the Nile springs. It is a nice spot for memorable photo moments at the source of the longest river in the world, while at the Nile you will sight the banks and shores with amazing eco cottages. The site is also a rich haven for birds, we will then depart for Kampala, driving through Jinja town. You will arrive Kampala in the evening right on time, drop-off to your accommodation from your adventure jinja tour.
