9 Days Uganda Safari is an amazing exploration adventure with Uganda’s wildlife in its diversity. Queen Elizabeth National Park with its beautiful savannah and woodland cover and land scape. The scenic craters along the Kasenyi plains make it colourful and while in the park you enjoy game drives and boat cruise safaris. Others activities include chimp tracking at kyambura Gorge, game drives for the tree climbing lions of Ishasha, and birding since the park is a good birding haven.

Day 1 Pickup from Entebbe International Airport with a Hotel Transfer in either Entebbe or Kampala

You will be picked up by our guide from the airport after arrival with a transfer to your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala
Day 2 Transfer From Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park with an Afternoon Walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Travel time from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National park is 7 – 8 hours

After your early morning breakfast at the hotel at about 7:00 am, you will transfer to western Uganda in Kibale Forest National. You will make a stopover in fort portal for lunch and later drive to your accommodation and check into the lodge. After lunch in the afternoon, you will transfer to the Bigodi Wetlands on the eastern edge of Kibale forest in Bigodi swamp which is a good haven for birders. Since Kibale forest is the capital of primates in Africa, other primates include olive baboons, red-tailed, black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, l’Hoest and blue monkeys. There are two main activities that is the Swamp walk and the community walk. In the swamp walk, you will walk into the wetlands to sight of wildlife such baboons and other creatures and birds. You will also have chance of viewing forest elephants, buffalos and other wildlife creatures. After the swamp walk, you may have an optional community walk if time allows, which is usually done by the local people or guides in the community. While in the community walk, we shall encounter local coffee processing, craft making and we shall also be taught how to make local beers through brewing. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight
Day 3 Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest with a Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travel time from Kibale National park to Queen Elizabeth National park is 2 – 3 hours

After your early morning breakfast, you will head to the visitor centre of Kibale Forest National Park at 7:00 am. You will meet the park rangers who usually brief your group before the trek starts, we shall track the chimps in their habituated communities of Kibale forest. One hour is usually allocated to us by the park rangers in order for our clients to observe and make memorable moments on the safari. After this experience we shall return to the lodge for lunch with a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.
Tracking takes about 1 to 3 hours or less before we actually face the chimps of Kibale Forest National Park
Day 4 Morning Game Drive, Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Scenic Crater Drive

After your early morning breakfast at about 6:00 am. Get ready to discover Kasenyi Plains sighting animals such as Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes, Lions, and Hyenas and a diversity of different bird species. After the wildlife drive that takes 3 hours you shall proceed to the lodge. After lunch you shall do a 2 -hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, expect to see more animals such as Hippos in a profusion of Crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes at the river banks taking water to cool off the heat and bird species in their natural habitat. Pictures would be memorable on the entire safaris. As you head back to the lodge, you will go through the scenic craters with in the beaten route of Queen Elizabeth national park and such spots are also memorable for pictures. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 5 Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Stopover at the Ishasha Sector for the “Tree-Climbing Lions”
Travel time: 2 hours to Ishasha Sector from the Northern part of Queen Elizabeth
2 – 5 or less hours depending on the Sector and lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast check out of your lodge and drive towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We will have lunch en-route with a stopover at the Ishasha sector in south of Queen. This sector is famous for tree climbing lions which hang on the umbrella trees of the park. After the game drive through Ishasha, we will drive out of Queen Elizabeth National park and embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south-western Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home of the endangered giant mountain gorilla. On reaching the park you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Gorilla Tracking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

You will wake up by 6:00 am for a quick hot morning breakfast and at 6:30 am, transfer to your tracking Sector of Bwindi National Park. We shall meet the ranger/guides at the Information Centre for registration and briefing. You will be briefed about the guidelines of the gorilla trekking activity (experience); you will be given a gorilla group to trek. At this point in time set off in the jungle tracking for the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. The sounds and melodies of birds praising the creator are sighted while on the trek. Explore the jungle for other wildlife such as monkeys, plants and singing birds. The Bwindi ranger guide make the trek interesting as they pass on more information in diversity of Bwindi Impenetrable forest, after a while trekking (trekking can take 1 to 4 hours or less before facing the gorillas) and tracking you will finally face the gorillas. You will observe the giant gorillas for one hour as they feed, relax in their habitat. This is the best time for photography moments as you are advised to carry your cameras with you. After the trekking experience you will head back to the park information centre to pick your gorilla trekking certificate. You will then meet your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge, overnight after your dinner.
Brief about Bwindi
Bwindi National Park, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a home to more than half of the endangered giant mountain gorillas left in the world and it covers about 321 square km between 1,160 meters and 2,600 meters above sea level. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has 4 gorilla tracking sectors that is Buhoma in the north, Ruhija in the east; Rushaga in the south and lastly Nkuringo in the south west. And with about 19 habituated gorilla families.
Day 7 Transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Lake Mburo National Park, Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo & An Evening Game Drive
Travel time from Bwindi forest to Lake Mburo is 4 – 5 hours

After our morning breakfast, we shall drive towards Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover in mbarara or Igongo centre (Also known as the land of milk & honey) for lunch and then proceed to the park. While in the park you will get the chance to see groups of zebras, Impalas, topis, giraffes, buffaloes, Elands (An eland is also known to be the largest Antelope) etc. After checking in at the lodge with a bit of relaxation you will drive out to embark on a boat ride on Lake Mburo to sight of both land and water mammals such as Hippos, Buffaloes, birds in compliment of the scenic views with in the nature of Lake Mburo. We shall drive back to the lodge or embark on your game drive which also depends on your arrival time in the park then dinner and overnight.
Day 8 Morning Game Walk & Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe with a Stopover for the Equator Experience
Travel time from Lake Mburo to Kampala / Entebbe 4 hours’ drive.

We will head out for an early morning game walk in the park amidst nature and wildlife. Expect to see animals such as antelopes, zebras, waterbucks, giraffes and birds as well. As nature into the trials of lake Mburo. You head back to the lodge for hot breakfast, check out of lodge driving back to Uganda’s capital. You will stopover at the equator for the water experiment and your guide will drop you at the hotel.
Day 9 Transfer to the Airport
Travel time from Kampala is 1 hour and a few minutes’ drive in Entebbe

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and you will be dropped off to the Entebbe International Airport right on time for your flight.

General Tips for your safari:
- Health is key all trekkers as its key to have your safari and trek the gorillas in a heath condition. Usually clients with infectious diseases like flu are not allowed to track reason being it can easily affect the endangered giant chimps or gorillas.
- The age limit for gorilla tracking is 15 years and above.
- Booking of your gorilla and chimpanzee permits is done in advance in order for you not to miss out on the experience when permits are fully booked.
- A porter can be hired in case you want to be carried for trekking, bags. For the trekking porter or helper, a fee of US$ 15 is charged.
- Your flash must be off during photography.
- The recommended distance between clients and gorillas is important for safety
- Bwindi in Rusahaga section has a small water fall called Bayenda falls although this is a different activity from our trek.
What to bring on your safari:
- Rubber Boots, trousers and rain gears or rain coats
- Mosquito repellant.
- This will help you repel mosquito bites
- Sun screen
- Sun screen is essential in case of scotching sunshine
