Your 8 day east and north wildlife safari leads you to the Source of the Nile experience in Jinja offers you a boat cruise to the source of the Nile. The Nile River is the longest river and while here you will sight a number of birds while on your boat ride. River Nile flows for a distance of 6500 as it meanders to the Mediterranean Sea through number of animals.
The Nile River has a range of activities starting from the white water rafting, Bungee jumping, kayaking, boat cruises to the source of the Nile, spot fishing and so much more like City tours, quad biking and horse riding.
Sipi Falls is a series of three waterfalls in Eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa, northeast of Sironko and Mbale. The waterfalls lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border. The Sipi Falls area is the starting point for many hikes up Mt. Elgon with the highest water fall having a drop of 100 meters high.
Kidepo Valley National Park Covers 1,442 square kilometers, and the park’s altitude ranges between 914m and 2,750m above sea level.
On our 8-day wildlife safari we get to Kidepo Valley National Park which is also known for having large herds of African cape buffalos and rare animals like the cheetah which is the fastest land mammal and the ostrich which is the fastest flightless bird.
Kidepo Valley National Park was gazetted as a national park in 1962 and the park is home to over 77 mammals as well as around 475 bird species.
Kidepo Valley National Park lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, the park is 700 kilo meters from Kampala.
Kidepo valley national park can also be accessed by both Flight and Road from Kampala to Kidepo Valley National Park, travel time being 10 hours drive and by flight 1 to 2 hours scenic flight with the rolling plains of the area, Kidepo valley national park is remote yet the most amazing park that gives you a feel of a real African safari experience through landscape, wildlife, game drives through the Narus valley, cultural experience with the people (Karamojong’s) living around the park. Not forgetting the hike to mount Morungole and the indigenous Ik tribe in the mountain’s.
These are both similar to the masai of Kenya, hunter tribe whose survival is threatened. The IK are believed to be the indigenous occupants of this region of Uganda before the coming of other tribes.
The Kidepo Valley National Park harbors two rivers that is Kidepo and Narus river and these disappear in the dry season, leaving just pools of the narus valley and these are also near Apoka Safari Lodge.
Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park in the remote but stunning wilderness, Karamoja in Kidepo makes it magnificent right from the savannah landscape. The park has a number of lodges ranging from Budget, Midrange and Luxury such as Apoka Safari Lodge, Savannah Lodge, Ngamoru Wilderness camp and the Uwa Bandas.

Day 1 Pick up from the Airport and Transfer to the Hotel
Travel Time from Entebbe International Airport is a few minutes’ drive in Entebbe and 1 hour to Hotels in Kampala

You will be welcomed at the Airport and taken to your Hotel in Entebbe/Kampala by Wabs Safaris representative. Your Hotel will depend on your flight arrival time at Entebbe International Airport.
Day 2 Transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to Mbale Town
Travel Time from Mbale Town to Kampala or Entebbe is 4 to 5 hours drive

You will be picked up by our driver from your Hotel or residence in Entebbe/Kampala and drive to Mbale Town via the Source of the River Nile in Jinja Town. You will set off for a boat cruise to the Source of River Nile. You will drive for lunch drive to Mbale town in Eastern Uganda. Overnight in Mbale town for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Sipi Falls Hike and Transfer to Soroti

We shall have breakfast and at 8:00 am set out for a hike to the Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa Town. The Sipi falls is an iconic attraction in the region, the sipi falls has a series of three scenic waterfalls. The longest with a depth of 100 meters, second waterfall with a depth of 85 meters and the first one with about 70 meters with a plunge pool beneath. After the hiking Sipi Falls you shall drive to Mbale for lunch and later drive to Soroti for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Transfer from Soroti to Kidepo Valley National Park

After your early morning breakfast, we shall drive to Kidepo Valley National Park in North Eastern Uganda, Via the country sides of Amuria District, Abim District and Kotido District. We shall make for our packed lunch before proceeding to the park. After lunch we shall embark on a journey that leads us through the authentic homesteads setting our eyes on the culture of the Karamajong the natives of the land. While in the majestic park, we shall have dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5 Morning Game Drive & Rest of the Day at Leisure or Optional Game Walk

Before having breakfast, we shall wake up very early in the Morning at 06:00 am for our game drive in the park, we shall drive to the Narus valley which has the highest concertation of wildlife. While in the narus valley we are able to view of the Katurum kopje which offers great scenic views north across the valley towards Morungole mountains ranges which is also home to the Ik tribe. After the game drive return to the lodge for breakfast as you wait for your lunch at 1:00pm. In the afternoon you we relax at the lodge or have a walk at the client’s discretion.
Day 6 Hot Spring Visit & Optional Community Visit

After Breakfast we shall Drive to the Hot Springs and on our drive through the park look out for the rare mammals and birds closer to Border of South Sudan. After this we shall return to the lodge for lunch, after lunch you will relax at the lodge enjoying a blend of the true African wilderness. We you have dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Optional Activity: After lunch you will visit the Karamojong community in the kejong’s homesteads. You shall interact with the community and get to know about their ways of living in homestead’s, dress code, historical and cultural background as well as their traditional dances. Later return to the lodge.
Day 7 Transfer from Kidepo Park to Kampala or Entebbe
Travel Time from Kidepo Valley National Park to either Kampala or Entebbe is 10 hours

After breakfast we shall drive to Kampala/Entebbe we shall embark on a road trip back to Kampala with a short break in Kitgum. We shall also have Lunch in Gulu town and drive again towards Kampala making another brief stop at Kabalega Diners before heading for Kampala. Your driver guide will drop you off at the hotel or place of stay in either Kampala or Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 Transfer from the Hotel to the Airport
Travel time from Entebbe is a few minutes drive to the Airport and from Kampala its 1-hour drive

Transfer from your hotel to Entebbe International Airport. You will be picked from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe by our representative and taken to Entebbe International Airport on time for your flight.

General Tips on your safaris:
- A porter can be hired in case you want to be carried for trekking, bags. For the trekking porter or helper, a fee of US$ 15 is charged
- Abseiling can be added as an optional activity which involves climbing down the steep slopes of sipi falls with firm equipment fastened to your harness
