The 3-day wildlife safaris to Queen Elizabeth National Park is an amazing safari that you should not miss on your bucket list. You will sight a number of mammals and a diversity of bird species since the Queen Elizabeth National Park is a good birding haven. The Park was named Queen Elizabeth after the Queens visit to the park when it was still known as Kazinga national park, it is also the second largest after Murchison Falls National Park and it being a birding haven the park has over 600 bird species in diversity.
The park also has two forests that are a good habitat to habituated chimpanzees in Kalinzu and Kyambura Gorge. Queen Elizabeth National Park being the second largest in Uganda is divided into two that is the northern sector, one with most game drives and the boat cruise safari on the kazinga channel where lakes Edward and George meet to form the kazinga channel. The southern sector also known as Ishasha is famous for its tree climbing lions that all clients yarn to set their eyes on.
Queen Elizabeth National Park also has the katwe explosion crater where the locals in the community get to extract the salt from Lake katwe (the explosion crater has existed for a million plus years). This is an activity that you may encounter when booked
Day 1 Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park/ Evening Game Drive through the Park
Travel time from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park is 7 – 8 hours

You will be picked up by our guide from your hotel at 7:00 am and we shall drive to Queen Elizabeth National park in southwestern Uganda. With a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and embark on the road trip to the park in the afternoon. You will check in at the accommodation, after a while you will head for your evening game drive on the search for wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner with overnight.
Day 2 Morning Game Drive, Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Evening Scenic Crater Drive

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After your early morning breakfast at about 6:00 am. Get ready to discover Kasenyi Plains sighting animals such as Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes, Lions, and Hyenas and a diversity of different bird species. After the wildlife drive that takes 3 hours you shall proceed to the lodge. After lunch you shall do a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, expect to see more animals such as Hippos in a profusion of Crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes at the river banks taking water to cool off the heat and bird species in their natural habitat. Pictures would be memorable on the entire safaris. As you head back to the lodge, you will go through the scenic craters with in the beaten routes of Queen Elizabeth National Park and such spots are also memorable for pictures. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 3 Transfer to Kampala / Entebbe with Stopover at the Equator Line
Travel time from Queen Elizabeth to Kampala or Entebbe is 7 – 8 hours
Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
After your morning cup of tea or coffee, we shall check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala/Entebbe. We shall have lunch in Mbarara town. Embark on our journey with a stopover at the Equator for the Equator Line experience. On arriving back to the city center Kampala, you will be driven to your hotel or transfer to the airport.

General Tips on your safari / Optional activities:
- Lion Experiential at Queen Elizabeth National Park getting close to the lions, it involves getting off the main game track and driving to the unbeaten paths with your guide and the Uwa Doctor.
- Hot Air Balloon Safaris is also offered in Queen Elizabeth NP and can be booked on the client’s discretion.
- If our clients have enough time we recommend a visit the southern sector of the park famous with tree climbing lions of Ishasha. This would require an extra day for the activity.
- A visit to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking is also recommendable.
What to bring on your safari:
