Your 10 day east and north wildlife safari leads you to the Source of the Nile experience in Jinja offers you a boat cruise to the source of the Nile. The Nile River is the longest river and while here you will sight a number of birds while on your boat ride. River Nile flows for a distance of 6600 kilometers (4,100 miles) as it meanders to the Mediterranean Sea through number of countries.

The Nile River has a range of activities starting from the white water rafting, Bungee jumping, kayaking, boat cruises to the source of the Nile, spot fishing and so much more like City tours, quad biking and horse riding.

Sipi Falls is a series of three waterfalls in Eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa, northeast of Sironko and Mbale. The waterfalls lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border. The Sipi Falls area is the starting point for many hikes up Mt. Elgon with the highest water fall having a drop of 100 meters high.

Kidepo Valley National Park Covers 1,442 square kilometers, and the park’s altitude ranges between 914m and 2,750m above sea level.

On our 10-day wildlife safari we get to Kidepo Valley National Park which is also known for having large herds of African cape buffalos and rare animals like the cheetah which is the fastest land mammal and the ostrich which is the fastest flightless bird.

Kidepo Valley National Park was gazetted as a national park in 1962 and the park is home to over 77 mammals as well as around 475 bird species.

Kidepo Valley National Park lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, the park is 700 kilo meters from Kampala.

Kidepo valley national park can also be accessed by both Flight and Road from Kampala to Kidepo Valley National Park, travel time being 10 hours drive and by flight 1 to 2 hours scenic flight with the rolling plains of the area, Kidepo valley national park is remote yet the most amazing park that gives you a feel of a real African safari experience through landscape, wildlife, game drives through the Narus valley, cultural experience with the people (Karamojong’s) living around the park. Not forgetting the hike to mount Morungole and the indigenous Ik tribe in the mountain’s.

These are both similar to the Masai of Kenya, hunter tribe whose survival is threatened. The IK are believed to be the indigenous occupants of this region of Uganda before the coming of other tribes.

The Kidepo Valley National Park harbors two rivers that is Kidepo and Narus river and these disappear in the dry season, leaving just pools of the narus valley and these are also near Apoka Safari Lodge.

Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park in the remote but stunning wilderness, Karamoja in Kidepo makes it magnificent right from the savannah landscape. The park has a number of lodges ranging from Budget, Midrange and Luxury such as Apoka Safari Lodge, Savannah Lodge, Ngamoru Wilderness camp and the Uwa Bandas.

Murchison Falls National Park lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley with a size of Size: 3,840 km2. The park is divided by river nile resulting to the northern and southern sides of Murchison falls park, the northern side is dominated by savannah and its where game drives take place while the southern side is occupied by forest cover. Murchison Falls National Park was gazetted in 1926, it is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, being home to 76 mammals and 450 birds. Murchison Falls Nile waters surge in a 7-meter gorge, which plunges 45 meters over the remnant rift valley rocks, creating the most powerful Murchison Falls. The riverbanks attract a number of wildlife and these include elephants, giraffes and buffaloes, hippos in a profusion of Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds such as kingfishers and African fish eagle.

Did you know!! The Devil’s Cauldron at Murchison falls creates a scenic rainbow whenever there is sun shine.
